Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves coordinating and delivering high-quality care based on clinical protocols and physician orders. The RN collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and positive outcomes, maintaining a compassionate environment for patients and families.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care following organizational policies and the nursing process.
  • Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately, reporting changes to the care team.
  • Provides age-appropriate care and education based on knowledge of human development.
  • Administers medications, monitors for side effects, and documents appropriately.
  • Assists physicians during procedures within competency scope.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans.
  • Responds to emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions like CPR.
  • Advocates for patient rights and needs.
  • Educates patients and families about conditions and post-discharge care.
  • Implements infection control protocols.
  • Operates medical equipment safely.
  • Promotes safety and maintains a clean environment.
  • Participates in audits and compliance checks.
  • Documents care thoroughly and promptly.
  • Engages in professional development and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong nursing process and clinical practice knowledge.
  • Effective assessment and communication skills.
  • Proficient in medication administration and monitoring.

Licenses and Certifications
