Job summary

Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell, SD is hiring a Registered Nurse for day shift, Monday–Friday 8am-5:30pm. This in-person role offers a structured schedule and the opportunity to provide direct patient care in a multidisciplinary team.

You will develop nursing diagnoses and care plans, educate patients and families, document care, and collaborate with physicians to deliver safe, compassionate treatment. PTO, retirement matching, and career development are among benefits.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• 1-3 years clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to perform essential nursing functions.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by reviewing prescriptions and coordinating with the health care team.
• Develops and implements nursing care plans and objectives.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Evaluates care outcomes and revises plans as needed.
• Maintains a safe, infection-controlled environment and proper medication handling.
