Job summary

AdventHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse to assess and address patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs, while developing care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

The role includes administering therapies, evidence-based interventions, and educating patients and families. It requires RN licensure and BLS CPR, with preferred medical office experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse with valid RN license.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• 1+ medical office experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to explain medical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data.
• Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards.
• Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient.
• Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching.
