Role Overview

The Database Coordinator for Surgical Services integrates nursing science, computer science, and information science to manage and analyze data relevant to clinical practice, administration, education, and research. The role involves evaluating applications, supporting clinical information systems, and collaborating with clinicians, IS technicians, analysts, and vendors to develop and implement systems that support surgical practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain policies and procedures related to clinical information systems for Surgical Services.
• Assist with charge issues related to supply pick list charges.
• Review custom programming and enhancement requests for appropriateness and completeness.
• Support OR Chart Audit during downtime in database responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing school
• 3-5 years' experience with information systems in an acute care hospital setting
• Registered Nurse license
