Job summary
Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team, specializing in cardiovascular surgery for adult and pediatric patients.
The CVOR includes seven suites with advanced equipment and a sign-on/relocation bonus package for eligible candidates. This is a full-time role with flexible 3/13-hour or 4/10-hour shifts and required on-call/weekend rotation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of direct Operating Room (OR) nursing experience.
- BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing; if RN has an ADN, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Must be licensed in Virginia as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting data and formulating plans of care.
- Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessments and trends.
- Supports and empowers patients and families through care progression.
- Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective and counsels to resolve issues.
- Anticipates and addresses ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and families.
