Job summary
Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking an experienced CVOR RN to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room team. A minimum of two years of specialized CVOR experience is required, with a Virginia RN license and BLS certification. The program is renowned for heart bypass, valve, and TAVR procedures.
Sign-on bonus and relocation are available. The role features full-time day shifts with on-call and weekend/holiday rotation, and participation in a state-of-the-art operating suite as part of the IHVI
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years direct CVOR experience as an RN.
- BSN or ADN from an accredited school; if ADN, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive patient health assessments and interprets complex data to guide care.
- Develops individualized plans of care based on assessments and trends.
- Supports patients and families through the healthcare continuum from promotion to end of life decisions.
- Advocates for patients' rights and provides counseling to resolve issues.
- Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and families.
