Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of acute care CVOR experience required.
• Florida State or compact RN license required at time of submission.
• BLS required, ACLS preferred.
• Two supervisory references dated within the last year.

Responsibilities

• Provide CVOR nursing care in a cardiovascular OR setting.
• Assist with procedures such as CABG, CABG related care, pacemaker placement or heart valve surgery.
• Document using the EPIC charting system.
• Work Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with weekends on‑call, holidays, and hurricane coverage.
• Maintain a 1:1 nurse‑to‑patient ratio.

Description:This position requires a registered nurse specializing in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR).The shift is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.This role includes weekends on-call, holiday, and hurricane coverage.The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1.Experience in the following procedures is essential: percutaneous coronary angioplasty, coronary artery bypass graft, pacemaker placement, heart valve replacement, peripheral vascular bypass, and lobectomy.The nurse will also be involved in the insertion, replacement, and removal of ventricular shunts and AV fistulas.Candidates are not accepted if they are first-timers in CVOR.Every other weekend coverage is required, totaling six shifts per six-week period, subject to unit needs.Documentation will be done using the EPIC charting system.Flexibility in scheduling may be required depending on unit needs, subject to manager approval.Candidates must provide two supervisory references dated within the past year.Available travelers must be compliant with all health and safety vaccine requirements.Local candidates will be considered at the same rate as travelers.Travel pairs are allowed with approval, but matching schedules are not guaranteed.Module completion during orientation and annually is required.Candidates must complete any required lab work within a specified time frame after signing.Candidates with any negative background or license findings must be disclosed prior to offer decision.This position does not allow for further time-off requests after the interview.
