Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) in Los Angeles, CA.

This travel package role offers a 12-hour shift schedule and 40 hours per week, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
• CA RN or compact license active and on file.
• Minimum of one year related work experience within the last 3 years.
• Active BLS.
• Additional certifications may be required.
• Copy of current PSV from licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
• Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to procedure requirements and safety standards.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures, including maintaining sterile technique, monitoring patient condition, and anticipating surgical needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor patients for changes or complications.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and other members of the cardiovascular surgical team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety protocols.
