Job summary

HiredFirst is seeking an experienced perioperative RN to join our CVOR team in California. You will scrub and assist in open heart, vascular, thoracic, and general cases, coordinating patient care with the surgical team.

The role requires active RN license, BLS/CPR, at least 2 years CVOR experience, and ability to take call; weekend on-call is required. You will participate in a call rotation and float to main OR as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state of practice).
• BLS/CPR certification (AHA or RQI).
• Minimum 2 years recent open heart (CVOR) experience.
• Ability to take call as required.

Responsibilities

• Provides perioperative nursing care in the CVOR, including scrubbing and assisting in open heart (solo and team), vascular, thoracic, and general OR cases.
• Coordinates patient care, collaborates with the surgical team, floats as needed, participates in call rotation, and ensures safe, efficient surgical outcomes.

Schedule:
Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
Call: 3:00 PM – 6:30 AM (weekdays)
Weekend: 24-hour on-call coverage (3 weeks only)
On-call requirement: ~50% of the time (typically full weeks)
