Job summary

WhiteCap Search is seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse for a contracted assignment at a hospital in Jacksonville, FL. Ideal candidates are ICU-trained RNs with rapid assessment skills and the ability to manage high-acuity patients in CVICU settings.

Requirements include 1 year of travel RN experience, active RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, CVICU experience, and strong cardiac/surgical critical care background.

Qualifications

• 1 year of travel RN experience.
• Active RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification.
• CVICU experience.
• Strong background in caring for critically ill cardiac and surgical patients.
• Proficiency with advanced hemodynamic monitoring and cardiovascular support therapies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and continuously monitor patient progress in the ICU.
• Identify sudden or subtle changes in patient condition and intervene.
• Provide timely updates to physicians, patients, and family members.
• Initiate treatments, administer medications, and monitor dosing.
• Respond to medical emergencies and activate appropriate clinical teams.
• Deliver comprehensive care throughout the patient’s ICU stay.
• Complete all required documentation prior to patient transfer.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans.
