Job summary

Southcoast Health in Fall River, MA is seeking a skilled RN for our 20-bed cardiac step-down unit. You will provide total nursing care, collaborate with the cardiothoracic team, and support pre- and post-operative cardiac patients in a fast-paced, patient‑centered environment.

This role offers a night shift schedule of 7:15 pm to 7:15 am with weekend and holiday rotation, competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, plus ongoing professional development and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current MA RN licensure required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Three (3) months experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients on the unit.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Provide leadership by working with the patient care team.
• Deliver care appropriate to the patient age group.

We are searching for a talented RN for the CV Stepdown unit

Hours: 36hrs

Shift: Night shift, 7:15pm - 7:15am with weekend and holiday rotation

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA

Exciting opportunity in this 20 bed cardiac step down unit. We work side by side with the cardiothoracic surgical team. This dynamic team cares for pre and post open heart surgical patients as well as other structural heart cases. We are very unique providing high quality care to our cardiac patients. The team focuses on teamwork and collaboration among all disciplines.

Job Responsibilities

Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services or designee of individual assigned unit, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• Three (3) months experience is preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
