Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate patient care. You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver physical and psychological support to patients and families, including assessments, care planning, medication administration, and documentation.

The role emphasizes respiratory management, vital signs monitoring, and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required by state nursing board or compact licensure.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire or transfer from non-ICU area.
• Specialty certification preferred.
• One to two years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Provide respiratory, ventilator management and monitoring for patients.
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Coordinate discharge planning needs with healthcare team.

Education

RN licensure (Tennessee Board of Nursing or compact state)

Job Summary and Qualifications

Registered nurses provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurseis responsible forcollaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limitedto:assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.

What you will do in this role:

• You will administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.

• You will provide respiratory, ventilator management, and monitoring for patients.

• You will serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• You will monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.

• You will assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of your healthcare team.

What qualifications you will need:

• RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred

• BLS required

• Must obtain ACLS within 6 Months of hire or transfer from non ICU area

• Specialty certification preferred

• One to two years clinical nursing preferred

• ICU experience preferred.
