Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse in Nashville, TN to provide comprehensive patient care and coordinate multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include medication administration, wound care, monitoring vital signs, and discharge planning.

The role requires TN RN licensure (or compact state), BLS, and ACLS within 6 months of hire; ICU experience and specialty certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure by TN Board of Nursing or compact state
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• BLS required
• ACLS within 6 months of hire or transfer from non-ICU area
• Specialty certification preferred
• 1–2 years clinical nursing preferred
• ICU experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, and monitor vital signs.
• Provide respiratory support, ventilator management, and monitoring for patients.
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Record and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Registered nurses provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurseis responsible forcollaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limitedto:assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.

What you will do in this role:

• You will administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.

• You will provide respiratory, ventilator management, and monitoring for patients.

• You will serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• You will monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.

• You will assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of your healthcare team.

What qualifications you will need:

• RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred

• BLS required

• Must obtain ACLS within 6 Months of hire or transfer from non ICU area

• Specialty certification preferred

• One to two years clinical nursing preferred

• ICU experience preferred.
