Role Overview:

The Registered Nurse PCCU - Medical ICU provides safe, compassionate care for adult patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct patient assessments, communicate and document care plans, educate patients and families tailored to their cultural and learning needs, and support professional development of colleagues. Assist with technical procedures such as venipuncture, drug administration, and IV management. Participate in performance improvement, research activities, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. When skilled, monitor wound, ostomy, and skin care treatments. Support patient transport and contribute to a collaborative, compassionate environment.

Qualifications:

Must hold an Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, active Illinois RN license, and certifications in ACLS and BLS. A minimum of one year inpatient nursing experience is required. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, ICU or ER experience, and certifications such as CWON or CWCN.
