Job summary

AdventHealth Ocala is seeking a Float Pool RN to provide skilled nursing care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role focuses on coordinating patient placement, data collection, and individualized care plans in collaboration with the health team.

The position requires an RN license, BLS, and 2+ years of critical care experience. ACLS preferred; day shift with full-time schedule and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in nursing required.
2+ years of critical care experience required.
Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborates to promote timely patient placement per hospital policy.
Collects comprehensive patient health data for care planning.
Develops and prioritizes patient care plans with patient and family.
Implements care plans with clinical accuracy and timely physician orders.
Ensures safe, effective nursing care considering safety, cost and impact.
Educates patients and families based on learning needs.

Job Description

Pay is set at $45/hr plus night shift differentials

$10,000 Sign on Bonus available for eligible candidates Relocation incentive from $5,000 available for eligible candidates

Collaborates and promotes timely patient placement by following hospital policy for patient admission, discharge, and transfer.
Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health/situation and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives.
Develops, individualizes, and prioritizes the patient's plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and health team members.
Implements identified plans for patients and unit-specific process improvement with appropriate nursing interventions and physician orders in an accurate, timely manner.
Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services.
Participates in peer interviewing and peer review processes.
Evaluates progress toward attainment of expected patient outcomes and unit-specific process improvement outcomes daily.
Coordinates implementation of the plan of care through leadership and delegation appropriate to skill level.
Educates patients and families based on assessed learning needs.
Participates in hourly rounding for outcomes.
Ensures safe and effective handoff communications and documentation between caregivers.
Other duties as assigned.

The Float Pool RN will display proficient clinical skills and critical thinking skills with strong communication skills. [Required]

Mature judgment and the ability to handle confidential information within guidelines and applicable regulations. [Required]

Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the department. [Required]

Previous experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
Previous EKG Interpretation Class preferred.
