Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered care across pre-operative and post-operative settings. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure exceptional patient experiences and outcomes.

The role requires an active Tennessee RN license (compact state acceptable) and strong communication. ASN or BSN is preferred, with opportunities for growth within a leading Level 1 trauma and neuroscience-focused center.

• Strong communication skills with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in collaboration with medical staff.
• Documents all patient care using the nursing process.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors patient response.
• Maintains knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served
• Promotes customer service initiatives along with Skyline Medical Center Service Values. (HCAHPS)
• All behaviors fully support positive customer service (HCAHPS)
• Documents all patient care.
• Utilized Nursing Process for individual care to meet needs of patients.
• Demonstrates ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
• Promotes compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.
• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or appropriate compact state
• Appropriate communication skills
• Education - ASN, BSN preferred
