Job summary

Bay Area Community Services (BACS) is seeking an RN Program Supervisor for the Crisis Stabilization Unit in Oakland, CA. This leadership role oversees nursing staff, clinical operations, medication management, and quality assurance to ensure safe, timely, person-centered crisis care for adults with behavioral health needs.

The role requires California RN licensure, a BSN, and at least four years of direct nursing experience with two years in administration.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted California RN license required.
• BSN required.
• Minimum four years RN direct service experience, psychiatric/behavioral health preferred.
• Minimum two years supervisory/administrative leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs RNs, LVNs, and Psychiatric Technicians, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance evaluation.
• Ensures 24/7 nursing coverage and manages shift assignments and attendance.
• Provides clinical supervision on assessment, medications, and de-escalation.
• Oversees charting, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Implements CQI standards and staff education to improve client care.
