Job summary

MHMR of Tarrant County is seeking an RN for Crisis care to plan, direct and coordinate nursing services in Behavioral Health sites and the community.

The Registered Nurse will use the nursing process for assessments, planning, implementation and education, working as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team. Texas RN licensure and CPR certification are required, with a preference for bilingual candidates and experience in behavioral health.

Qualifications

• RN program graduation—Associates or Bachelor of Nursing.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in Behavioral Health (psychiatric/mental health or substance use disorder).
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
• Current RN licensure.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate and participate in nursing care at Behavioral Health sites and in the community.
• Use the nursing process: assessments, planning, implementation/intervention, education, evaluation and consultation.
• Be a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.

The Registered Nurse Crisis plans, directs, coordinates and participates in the provision of health care services for individuals in Behavioral Health sites and in the community. This is done through use of the nursing process in nursing assessments, planning, implementation/intervention, education, evaluation and consultation. The RN is a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.

Required Education: RN Program Graduation-Associates Degree or Bachelor Degree in Nursing

Preferences: Bilingual; Minimum one (1) year of experience in Behavioral Health: psychiatric/mental health nursing or substance use disorder nursing

License/Certifications: Valid Texas Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record, Current RN licensure, CPR Certification
