Job summary

Trident Medical Center is seeking qualified nursing professionals to support the surgical team in the Operating Room. You will evaluate patients pre‑operatively, educate patients and families about procedures, and manage IV therapy, preoperative medications, and site verification.

You will be part of an interdisciplinary team, consistently applying nursing processes, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe, evidence‑based care and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• APRN or RN credential must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols.
