Job summary

INTEGRIS Health Enid is seeking a night shift RN to join the IMC Step Down/ICU Float Pool at INTEGRIS Health Enid in Enid, OK. The role involves floating across departments, including the Emergency Department, with an emphasis on critical care patient management.

Requirements include Oklahoma RN licensure (or eNLC), 3 years hospital RN experience or 1 year with ECMO/LVAD, BLS on hire, and ACLS/PALS/NRP within 90 days. A valid driver’s license and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Oklahoma or a multistate license via eNLC.
• 3 years RN patient care experience in a hospital setting OR 1 year RN patient care experience with ECMO/LVAD certification.
• Current BLS certification on hire or within 30 days.
• Current ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification based on competency or within 90 days.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to our insurer.
• Additional qualifications are required for assignment in specialty areas (CCU, ED, L&D, Surgical Services, Behavioral Health, Rehab).

Responsibilities

• Float to Emergency Department and other departments as needed, including mid-shift.
• Work a minimum of 36 hours per week, including four weekend shifts per month.
• Work holidays during the assignment period.
• Manage delivery of patient care using the nursing process and participate in on-call as needed.
• Supervise and coordinate care delegation to licensed and unlicensed staff.

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member.
• 3 years RN patient care experience in a hospital setting OR 1 year RN patient care experience in a hospital setting with ECMO/LVAD certification.
• Current BLS certification upon hire, or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification based on competency level or completion within 90 days of hire.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• This job requires the incumbents to operate personal vehicle (non INTEGRIS-owned) and therefore must have a current Drivers License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
• Additional qualifications are required for assignment in a specialty area such as Critical Care, Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, Surgical Services, Behavioral Health, Rehab or other specialties. Experience, knowledge and competency validation will occur prior to placement in a Specialty area assignment.
• Department specific competencies will be completed in the applicable department(s) during the orientation process.

• Expected to work a minimum of 36 hours per week, including four weekend shifts per month.
• Must work all holidays during assignment period.

The Temporary Critical Need RN (Internal Traveler) assumes responsibility for the management and delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process. As part of the resource pool this position may be required to float to various units as needed. May be required to participate in on call status. This position requires population specific competencies.

The Temporary Critical Need RN (Internal Traveler) management of the delivery and documentation of patient care includes, but is not limited to:

• Assessment/re assessments.
• Development of the plan of care.
• Implementation of appropriate patient care interventions.
• Evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions.
• Supervises and coordinates the delegation and implementation of care to other licensed and non licensed personnel in the provision of care to patients as assigned.
• Provides guidance and mentorship to non licensed personnel and students, as appropriate.
• Performs job duties in a manner that will ensure a physical environment free of hazards to self and others.
• Supervises and coordinates the delegation and implementation of patient care to licensed and non-licensed personnel for their assigned shift/area. This includes, but not limited to delegated assignments, monitoring of patient care, facilitating problem solving, and education/training of staff.
