Job summary

Lions Rehab Center in Cumberland, Maryland is seeking an empathetic Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dedicated clinical team and provide hands-on nursing care for residents. You will assess health status, administer treatments, and collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and LPNs to ensure high-quality care in a team-driven environment.

The role emphasizes nursing leadership, timely documentation in EMR, and active participation in QA activities.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in Maryland or Multistate.
• CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus—but we'll train the right candidate
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• A team-player mindset with a passion for patient-centered care

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Assess and monitor residents' health status and respond promptly to changes
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Supervise and support CNAs and LPNs as needed
• Document accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Follow all policies and procedures of the facility
• Serves as charge nurses when assigned
• Participates as required in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
• Attends all required educational activities and meetings
• Maintains confidentiality of resident and facility information
• Demonstrates respect of resident rights and dignity
