Job summary

Lions Rehab Center in Cumberland, MD is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 101-bed skilled nursing facility. You will provide hands-on nursing care, perform assessments, and collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to support residents’ dignity and well-being.

The role requires an active Maryland RN license, CPR/BLS certification, and excellent communication. Prior long-term care or geriatrics experience is a plus, and we offer training for the right

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Supervise and support CNAs and LPNs as needed
• Document in the EMR accurately
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
• Attend required educational activities and meetings

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse at Lions Rehab Center, you'll be a cornerstone of our clinical team, providing hands-on care, critical assessments, and clinical leadership. You'll collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure every resident receives the dignity and support they deserve.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Assess and monitor residents' health status and respond promptly to changes
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Supervise and support CNAs and LPNs as needed
• Document accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Follow all policies and procedures of the facility
• Serves as charge nurses when assigned
• Participates as required in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
• Attends all required educational activities and meetings
• Maintains confidentiality of resident and facility informationDemonstrates respect of resident rights and dignity

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in Maryland or Multistate
• CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Prior experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus - we'll train the right candidate
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
