Job summary

Texas Health Action is hiring a Registered Nurse to support Kind Clinic operations across Austin. You will float between Central and South locations, perform vital signs, assist examinations, and ensure safe, culturally affirming care for diverse communities.

Responsibilities include lab work, med distribution, and staff mentorship. Requires Texas RN licensure, BLS, and at least 1 year outpatient experience; bilingual skills are a strong plus.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Texas required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained before hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Provide direct nursing care, including lab services and medication distribution.
• Conduct follow-up visits and physical examinations within scope of care.
• Counsel patients on health assessment, prevention and care in a respectful manner.
• Mentor new Medical Assistant staff and review charts before visits.
• Coordinate with the RN team and adhere to clinic policies and procedures.
