Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic's H51 Colorectal Surgery Unit seeks a dedicated RN to provide direct patient care, education and support to patients and families in a fast-paced surgical setting.

You will implement and evaluate care plans, document patient conditions, administer medications, coordinate discharge needs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional outcomes while adhering to safety standards. This role requires flexibility for rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
