Job summary

LewisGale Hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg, VA, seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit functions. You will partner with management to monitor nursing care and serve as a resource for staff, enhancing the patient experience.

The role requires an RN, BCLS and ACLS certifications within specified timeframes, and 2 years of RN experience. A relevant degree is required (Associate, Bachelor's, or RN Diploma).

Qualifications

• RN with active license.
• BCLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ACLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Degree must be an Associate/Bachelor or RN Diploma.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with a multidisciplinary team.
• Assist with admission and discharge processes.
• Support improved outcomes and service with leadership and subject-matter experts.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
• Assist with staff scheduling and unit operations.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

What qualifications you will need:

• (RN) Registered Nurse


• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date


• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date


• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma


• 2 years of RN experience is required
