Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville seeks a Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate care, aiming to uphold UF Health’s mission of excellent patient care. The RN will supervise care provided by LPNs and UAPs, assign/delegate tasks, and coordinate care across disciplines to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires a Florida RN license; BSN is preferred and must be obtained within three years of hire for nurses hired after April 30, 2014.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Florida.
• BSN preferred; BSN required within three years of hire for nurses hired after April 30, 2014.
• Professional nursing board certification in specialty area preferred.
• Specialty certification required within two years of specialty experience at UF Health Shands or certification eligibility date for all nurses hired after June 30, 2011.

Responsibilities

• Identify the patient's alterations in health and assess responses to health problems.
• Implement nursing interventions based on nursing concepts to achieve patient outcomes.
• Determine effectiveness of nursing interventions by evaluating outcomes.
• Coordinate care between health-care team disciplines as needed.
• Perform unit-based activities contributing to a positive work environment.

Education

RN license in Florida
