Job summary

Harris Health in Houston seeks a Nurse Clinician II (NCII) to deliver expert nursing care in our clinical setting. The NCII independently and safely manages patients with common problems in the assigned area, applying standards from the Texas Nursing Practice Act and HCHD Nursing Service.

Requirements: BSN preferred or Diploma in Nursing; TX RN license; BLS; 1 year RN experience or GN program; bilingual skills preferred. Weekend/on-call schedule, strong assessment and teamwork expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Diploma in Nursing; Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Registered Nurse; Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
• Basic Life Support from an American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross approved program.
• Work Experience: One (1) year full time RN experience or completion of GN Program.
• Language Skills: Bilingual Skills Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently and safely manages patients with problems common to the assigned clinical area.
• Recognizes when he/she needs assistance and seeks appropriate resources.
• Applied standards from the Texas Nursing Practice Act and HCHD Nursing Service.
