Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification on hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; RN-C within 2 years of hire.
• PALS within 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Oversees clinical department administrative functions with the unit Director/Manager.
• Develops and implements departmental plans including performance improvement activities.
• Conducts orientation and training of personnel.
• Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration in writing and verbally.
• Ensures efficient department operation and provides direct patient care as needed.
