Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinical Supervisor for the weekend shift. You will support the planning, coordination and evaluation of patient care and operations within designated areas, and serve as a clinical resource for staff and patients.

The role requires 3–5 years of hospital nursing experience and an active RN license in Missouri or a compact licensure. BLS certification is required, with BSN preferred and weekend supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with ADN, diploma or BSN.
• Current RN license in Missouri or compact license as per state rules.
• 3–5 years of hospital nursing experience; BLS required.
• BSN preferred; additional certifications/licensure encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of operations and patient care.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department.
• Functions as a staff nurse when needed and supports weekend supervision.
• Take on managerial duties delegated by a manager and uphold Mercy standards.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule:Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Shift:Day Shift

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience: 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred
• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience:Prior management experience - experience within change management

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs. regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
