Qualifications

• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of three year of Charge Nurse or equivalent experience required.
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred.
• Professional Certification within 2 years of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support administrative responsibility for department service functions and collaborate with Director/Manager.
• Develops departmental plans including performance improvement activities and compliance with regulations.
• Oversee orientation and training of personnel in the department.
• Communicate with staff, physicians, and administration in writing and verbally.
• Ensure quality of staff and department operations during shifts; supervise, direct and evaluate personnel.
• Perform direct patient care as needed within scope of practice; monitor care and adjust plans as required.
