Job summary

MedStar Health’s CVOR seeks a Clinical Specialist to serve as the clinical expert in the cardiovascular operating room, providing consultation on complex patient care and promoting evidence-based practice. This role leads quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required.
• Doctoral degree in Nursing Education or Healthcare Administration preferred.
• 5-7 years of progressively more responsible nursing experience.
• Experience with larger programs handling transplants, VADs, heart failure, aortic, robotic, congenital heart surgery a plus.
• Experience in nursing advanced practice role preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing
• Doctoral degree in Nursing Education or Healthcare Administration preferred
• 5-7 years of progressively more responsible job-related experience in nursing
• Experience with larger program that handles transplants, VAD’s, heart failure, aortic, robotic, congenital heart surgery experience a plus
• Experience in nursing advanced practice role preferred
