Job summary

LCMC Health in Louisiana is seeking an RN Staff Nurse for SNF PRN day shifts. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care under organizational policies and standards.

Delegation and supervision of staff, along with ensuring safety and proper care, are essential to this role. The position requires coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, maintaining communication during handoffs, and supporting quality improvement efforts within the unit.

Qualifications

• Active Louisiana nursing license or temporary permit to practice nursing.
• American Heart Association BLS-HCP certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care following standards and policies.
• Delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff while ensuring safe, effective care.
• Maintain safe environment, use nursing process to develop and adjust care plans.
• Communicate patient condition and needs through proper channels and handoffs.
• Support quality improvement and infection control initiatives and promote patient throughput.
