Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans seeks an experienced RN Staff Nurse for SNF PRN 7a. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to standards and hospital policies, while delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff as needed.

Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, you will ensure safe, effective care, participate in quality improvement activities, and communicate patient progress clearly to the care team and family.

Qualifications

• Valid license to practice professional nursing in Louisiana.
• American Heart Association BLS-HCP certification.
• ACLS certification for MICU or unit-specific requirements.
• ONCC chemotherapy immunotherapy certification within 2 years of hire.
• CM-SRN or MSB nursing certification for perioperative units.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates and maintains a safe environment for patients and others.
• Develops and delivers a plan of care using the nursing process.
• Delegates activities to licensed and non‑licensed staff involved in care.
• Communicates patient status and hand-offs to the care team and families.
