Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) to deliver hands-on patient care within the California Nursing Practice Act and hospital policies. The CN coordinates care with the care team, teaches patients and families, and supports professional development in a family-centered approach.

Required: CA RN license, English communication, BLS certification; BSN preferred. ACLS may be required by cost center. Base pay scales hourly from $96.35 to $111.14.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.
• CA RN license required or eligible; BLS certification mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Establish therapeutic relationships and support patient and family throughout recovery.
• Obtain and interpret data to identify nursing diagnoses and monitor changes.
• Collaborate with patient, family and health care team to develop and implement an individualized plan of care.
• Educate patients and families for self‑care and illness prevention; mentor staff as needed.
• Rapidly identify and respond to changing clinical situations and activate emergency protocols.
• Monitor quality and safety practices; pursue opportunities for improvement in patient care and environment.
