Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus – Glick is seeking a dedicated RN to join the Cardiac Step Down Unit, 7 East. You will care for patients with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-procedural needs, performing EKG interpretation and IV titration.

Collaborating with PCNAs, nurse interns, providers, telemetry techs, and therapists, you’ll help maintain safety and quality in a 28-bed unit. MetroHealth offers tuition reimbursement, certification incentives, and OPERS as part of a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or a program seeking accreditation.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification or within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on the Cardiac Step Down Unit, 7 East, including post-procedural patients.
• Interpret EKGs and titrate IV medications with critical thinking and teamwork.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, nurse interns, providers, telemetry techs, PT and OT.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population:

• Congestive Heart Failure
• Arrhythmias
• Post Procedural Care (Catheterization/Ablation/ICD/PPM)

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• EKG interpretation
• IV Medication titration
• Critical thinking, delegating, time management

Personnel RN will work with:

• Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Telemetry Technicians, PT, OT

Number of beds on unit:

• 28 beds

Required Qualifications:
