Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Step Down Unit 7 East. The unit treats congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-procedural care, requiring EKG interpretation and precise IV titration.

Shift is 7a-7p and 7p-7a with rotating weekends and holidays; location is MetroHealth Main Campus, Glick. 72 hours biweekly with a strong multidisciplinary team and opportunity for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and eligible for Ohio RN licensure.
• Current Ohio RN license is required.
• BLS must be current; ACLS within 6 months of hire is required.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population

• Congestive Heart Failure


• Arrhythmias


• Post Procedural Care (Catheterization/Ablation/ICD/PPM)

Personnel RN Will Work With

• Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Telemetry Technicians, PT, OT

Number Of Beds On Unit

• 28 beds

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).


• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio


• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.


• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire


• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience


• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN


• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
