Job summary

St. David's HealthCare seeks a Registered Nurse for the Riverside FSED to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and collaborate with medical providers in a fast-paced emergency department setting.

The RN will assess pain, perform care procedures, document thoroughly, educate patients and families, and coordinate with the care team to improve outcomes within established nursing models and the organization’s standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license and be eligible to practice in Texas.
• ACLS, ENPC, NIH Stroke Scale, and TNCC certifications or willingness to obtain within stated timelines.
• RN with an Associate Degree or higher.
• Strong communication and patient-centered care skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient pain and provide timely reassessments.
• Perform procedures and document care in the patient record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Support care team collaboration to optimize patient outcomes.
