Qualifications

• Req Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Req 1 year acute inpatient hospital experience as a licensed RN in the United States
• Req Excellent communication skills, including speaking, reading and writing English
• Req Knowledge of medical procedures and ability to perform duties per policies and procedures
• Req Commitment to excellence in patient care and customer service
• Req Ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision
• Req Registered Nurse (CA Board of Registered Nursing)
• Req Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
• Req Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Follows policies and procedures; access online manuals
• Translates learned knowledge to practice within the Nursing Process
• Completes Nursing Assessments on admission, shifts, and changes in condition
• Interprets assessments and formulates Nursing Diagnoses
• Develops Plans of Care with individualized interventions and updates daily
• Delivers medication and IV therapy, delegates tasks, and advocates for patients
• Documents on flow sheets, MAR, and care plans with accuracy
• Provides patient and family education as needed
• Coordinates discharge planning with Case Manager and physician
• Operates and monitors patient care equipment safely
• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team and family
• Manages time, completes shifts on time and maintains safety standards
• Adheres to regulatory requirements and safety protocols
• Demonstrates care for medically complex and surgical patients on various units
• Demonstrates safety and escalation procedures for restraints and crises
• Participates in professional development and quality improvement activities
• Performs other related duties as assigned
