Mercy Hospital Washington in Washington, MO, seeks an experienced RN Clinical Nurse Educator for the Surgical & Orthopedic Care Unit. The role focuses on onboarding, competency validation, and ongoing staff development to improve patient safety and care quality.

You will lead education initiatives, mentor staff, and collaborate with leadership on performance improvement and academic partnerships in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required with clinical nursing experience.
• ADN with 10 years of hospital nursing experience or 5 years plus RN-to-BSN enrollment.
• Current RN license and AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop onboarding, orientation, competency and continuing education programs.
• Create evidence-based curricula aligned with nursing practice models and patient experience goals.
• Coordinate orientation schedules and maintain education records.
• Utilize simulation and case studies for adult learning.
• Mentor, preceptor, coach and role model for nursing staff.
• Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
