Job summary

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking an RN Clinical Educator for the Tower Operating Room, a 24/7 Level 1 Trauma facility. The role focuses on assessing competency, integrating theory with practice, and driving quality and safety across the OR team.

Hours are full-time with some flexibility for department needs. Requirements include a Master's or BSN with ongoing Master's, 2 years' nursing experience in a designated specialty, and BLS certification with Virginia RN licensure or multi-state

Qualifications

• Education: Master's Degree or BSN and enrolled in Master's program; must plan completion date and transcripts.
• Experience: 2 years in nursing in designated specialty; 3 months as preceptor.
• Certification: BLS from American Heart Association; Virginia RN license or multi-state RN license.

Responsibilities

• Assess competency of new nursing staff using system strategies and tools.
• Integrate theory, evidence-based practice and clinical nursing into education for staff.
• Prepare annual self-development plans and professional goals with leadership input.
• Contribute to quality and safety initiatives across the organization.
