Job Summary

Provide clinical data integrity to the facility. Serve as a resource regarding documentation in the medical record. Perform concurrent reviews to improve documentation and educate physicians as needed. Reports to: Director of Emergency Services.

Essential Functions

• Evaluate the quality of clinical documentation
• Provide training and education to physicians
• Provide workflow direction
• Manage queries

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Graduate of a Program in Discipline - Required

Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, handle stressful environments, and take appropriate action.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days

Required Licenses: Current registered nurse licensure in West Virginia, United States

Minimum Work Experience: One (1) year of inpatient coding experience preferred
