Job Summary:

Provide clinical data integrity to the facility. Serve as a resource regarding documentation in the medical record. Perform concurrent reviews to improve documentation and educate physicians as needed. Reports to: Director of Emergency Services.

Essential Functions:

• Evaluate the quality of clinical documentation
• Provide training and education to physicians
• Provide workflow direction
• Responsible for queries

Job Requirements:

Minimum Education:

Graduate of a Program in Discipline - Required

Required Skills:

Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must handle stressful environments and act appropriately.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days

Required Licenses:

Current registered nurse licensure in West Virginia, United States

Minimum Work Experience:

One (1) year of inpatient coding experience preferred
