Work Shift: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

The Clinical Coordinator (CC) functions as a clinician, educator, resource person, performance improvement coordinator, and mentor. In collaboration with the Nurse Manager, the CC monitors staff competency and provides clinical support to ensure quality patient care. The CC is a leader, role model, change agent, advocate, and cost-effective coordinator. Responsibilities include coordinating in-service education on new technologies, systems, procedures, and competency-based education, as well as developing and implementing unit-based orientation, annual skills fairs, new care standards, protocols, policies, procedures, and analyzing PI data. The CC supports unit leadership and upholds the nursing philosophy, mission, vision, and values of Houston Healthcare through participation in committees. They also assist in planning and implementing strategies to meet regulatory and patient safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Three (3) years of current clinical experience in the designated area.
  • Current US state RN license with authorization to practice in Georgia.
  • Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.
  • Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification or obtained within nine (9) months of hire.
  • Clinical/professional certifications specific to area required within three (3) years.

Skills:

  • Ability to utilize diagnostic and patient care equipment.
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment such as gloves, gown, mask, etc.
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), as well as Intranet/Internet use.

Successful candidates will be subject to criminal background checks and drug screens.
