Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC, is seeking a Clinical Coordinator (RN) for Women’s Care. This full-time, daytime position supports gynecological and prenatal services with a dedicated team of doctors, a nurse midwife, and a nurse practitioner.

The RN will assess patients, initiate interventions, document care, and participate in care planning. Candidates should have NC RN licensure (compact allowed), an Associate’s degree (BSN preferred), and BLS with ACLS/PALS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina or compact-state RN license required, licensure must be updated if relocating.
• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Delivers care appropriate to patient condition and age.
• Documents medical necessity in the medical record.
• Completes and revises the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate quality improvement assessments.
