Job summary

AdventHealth in Littleton, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide leadership and coordination during the night shift. You will support daily operations, ensure safe patient care, and supervise staff while collaborating with physicians and the care team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift.

• Assists in admissions/cases and ensures appropriate staff skill mix for safe patient care.

• Resolves patient complaints and liaises with multidisciplinary care team.
• Monitors supply usage and costs for fiscal accountability at unit level.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies; delegates tasks per policy.
• Models ethical, legal, and professional nursing practices; seeks ongoing education.

Job Description:

Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift. Assists in directing, organizing, and prioritizing all shift activities to ensure patient care and staff needs are met. Ensures appropriateness of admissions/cases to the unit/department and that appropriate staff skill mix exists to provide safe patient care. Participates in the interviewing and selection process for new staff. Provide feedback and recommendations regarding current staff performance. Acts as a liaison to the multidisciplinary patient care team. Monitors supply usage and costs at the unit level to ensure fiscal accountability. Assists management with maintaining staff and department compliance with all regulatory and accreditation agencies. Delegates tasks to RN and non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy. Serves as a professional role model for all staff, demonstrating ethical, legal, and professional nursing practices.
