Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or relevant work experience
• 6 years progressive work experience and 1 year management experience
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care across admissions, transfers, and discharges with physicians, nurses, and staff
• Assist in scheduling, training, and supervising clinical staff to maintain coverage
• Monitor clinical practices to ensure compliance with hospital policies and guidelines
• Serve as liaison between clinical staff, management, patients, and families for clear communication
• Oversee availability and use of medical supplies and equipment within the unit
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and data for reporting and auditing
• Identify operational challenges and implement improvements to patient care and efficiency
• Collaborate with nursing managers and medical directors on policy development and implementation
