Northwestern Medicine is seeking an experienced registered nurse to oversee shift operations, coordinate staffing, and direct patient care within a dynamic unit. The role supports ongoing initiatives and interdepartmental collaboration to ensure safe, high-quality care.

The position requires a BSN, Illinois RN licensure, and at least two years of clinical experience in the specialty. Magnet certification within one year is preferred, with BLS mandatory.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent.
• Illinois Registered Nurse license required.
• Two or more years of clinical experience in the specialty.
• Magnet recognized certification or eligible within 1 year (preferred).
• CPR - Basic Life Support certification.

Responsabilités

• Facilitates unit operations on a shift basis per policy and regulations.
• Coordinates shift staffing to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care.
• Directs patient care provided by staff nurses and support personnel on the shift.
• Leads unit/departmental or hospital-wide committees and task forces.
• Communicates with patients and families about nursing care.
