Job summary

Detroit Medical Center is seeking an RN Clinical Coordinator for PreOp/PACU in Hamtramck, MI. The role leads nursing staff, coordinates schedules, and supports care delivery with a focus on quality and efficiency.

The position requires RN licensure in Michigan, 1–2 years of leadership experience, and a BSN preferred. BLS is required and ACLS is preferred. A strong team-driven environment with growth opportunities awaits.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Active Michigan RN license.
• 1–2 years of progressively responsible leadership experience with delegation and prioritization.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions as lead and resource person for nursing staff, coordinates staff meetings and development.
• Collaborates to monitor staffing schedules to ensure adequate nurse-patient ratios.
• Facilitates unit throughput and improves Length of Stay.
• Coordinates in-service programs to maintain staff competency.
• May assist with interviewing, hiring, mentoring and staff evaluation.
• Contributes to development of department policies, procedures and standards.
• Supports department process improvement and peer review.
