The role focuses on coordinating patient care, guiding staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance to deliver high-quality, patient-centered service.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years of clinical experience with coordination exposure, valid RN license, BLS, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
• 1-2 years of coordination role preferred.
• RN licensure and BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily clinical operations, including patient flow and staff assignments.
• Guides clinical staff and assists with complex patient care situations.
• Collaborates with teams to implement and evaluate care plans.
• Assists in onboarding and training new clinical staff.
• Maintains documentation related to patient care and quality measures.
• Facilitates communication between staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Ensures availability and proper use of equipment and resources.

Job Summary
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, and supporting staff within a designated department or clinical area. This role involves overseeing workflows, managing resources, and fostering collaboration among interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The Clinical Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for clinical inquiries, process improvements, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Essential Functions

• Coordinates daily clinical operations, including patient flow, resource allocation, and staff assignments, to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
• Supports clinical staff by providing guidance, addressing concerns, and assisting with complex patient care situations.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate care plans, ensuring alignment with patient needs and departmental goals.
• Assists in onboarding and training new clinical staff, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
• Maintains accurate documentation related to patient care, clinical activities, and quality measures as required.
• Serves as a liaison between clinical staff, physicians, patients, and families to facilitate communication and resolve concerns.
• Ensures the availability and proper use of equipment, supplies, and resources needed for patient care.
• Participates in emergency response planning and execution, supporting staff and patients during critical situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting required
• 1-2 years of prior experience in a coordination role preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to oversee complex patient care situations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration among interdisciplinary teams.
• Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills for addressing operational challenges.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies, and quality improvement practices.
• Ability to train, mentor, and support clinical staff in adhering to best practices and standards.

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
• BLS - Basic Life Support required
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
