Job summary

St. Catherine Hospital Dodge City is seeking an RN Clinical Coordinator for the Emergency Department. You will coordinate clinical activities, lead shift operations, and serve as a clinical resource for a multidisciplinary team in a high‑volume ED.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required.
• Active RN license in state of employment.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification from American Heart Association.
• NIHSS certification.
• ENPC or PALS certification.
• Minimum 1 year RN ED experience.

• Coordinate clinical and department activities for the unit.
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model; support department director/manager.
• Lead shift operations, assign duties, and manage patient assignments.
• Act as liaison between physicians and the patient care team; ensure safe, high-quality care.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our RN Clinical Coordinator, you will actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit, serving as a vital clinical resource and professional role model.

Every day you will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, ensure high-quality care delivery, act as a crucial link between physicians and the patient care team, authorize work procedures, assign duties, manage as shift charge, and actively take patient assignments based on unit needs and acuity, all while promoting patient well‑being and adhering to professional standards.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with exceptional clinical skills, strong leadership potential, superior communication and collaboration abilities, and an unwavering commitment to ethical practice, quality patient care, and a supportive team environment.

• Assesses patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data. Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift.
• Assists in directing, organizing, and prioritizing all shift activities ensuring patient care and staff needs are met.
• Ensures appropriateness of admissions/cases to the unit/department and that appropriate staff skill mix exists to provide safe patient care.
• Liaison to the multidisciplinary patient care team.

We are offering a $10,000 sign on in addition to up to $8,000 relocation assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

.90 FTE-FT nights-7am-7:30pm

Job Requirements

Required

• Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
• Active and unencumbered RN License in state of employment
• BLS from the American Heart Association
• ACLS from the American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• ENPC or PALS
• One year RN ED experience
• TNCC within one year of hire
• Physical Requirements: Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly

Preferred

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing
• CEN
